Bingham’s series of solitary places is described as “illustrating solitude as a physical experience as being alone within the grandeur of an eastern vista, driving down a mysterious western road and experiencing the vastness of her homeland.” Solitude also is illustrated with solitary figures within an urban environment in moments of isolation.
