St. Louis Art Museum’s director, Brent R. Benjamin, to retire next year

Benjamin, who has directed the St. Louis Art Museum for 20 years, will retire next year, he announced Monday.

Benjamin, 61, told the museum’s trustees and commissioners during a Zoom meeting his plans to leave in mid-2021 .

“Brent has led the St. Louis Art Museum through two of the most successful decades in our 140-plus year history,” Charles Lowenhaupt, president of the museum’s Board of Commissioners, said in a news release. […]
